tres chic: kimono

today i bring you the first of many tres chic posts! two of my fab blogger girlfriends thought it would be fun to pick a trend and style it three ways! today we are bringing you our favorite summer trend: the kimono. check out what the girls said about styling their kimonos.

1. this is lauren from classy and fab girl, a fellow kc blogger who also shares a love for fashion. lauren styled her light and airy kimono with kelly green shorts and layered on the gold accessories. this kimono is quickly becoming her summer staple! she found it at the new fortuity boutique at the country club plaza.

2. remember andrea from style my way? you met her last month when we did a blog swap. andrea's is an actual kimono that her aunt brought back from japan in 1985! it was a styling challenge but it all came together with white denim crops and a basic tank. throw on gobs of gold jewels, a pair of wedge sandals, and a basket inspired clutch, and you have a simply lovely summery look!
