date night at park place

it's no lie that the hubs and i love to get out of the house and go out for a fun date night. we've built up a fun life here and it's pretty easy since there's so much fun stuff to do. one of our favorite places to go is park place in leawood. i'm pretty sure it was one of the first places we went on a date as newly weds when i first moved to kc. pretty sweet right!? well park place asked me to talk about our favorite date night spots, and i've collected them below. i've got some great places we go all the time, and a few new places we need to try! let me know what you think! do you like to go to any of these places with your babe?

| dine | you’ve heard of love on a rooftop, right?  so head upstairs at mestizo by aaron sanchez and listen to live music every friday or saturday night. and pull up a chair to the burning “ring of fire” to warm up your night in style. looking for a low-key, but romantic dining option?  the brick patio at pig & finch is another lovely place to spend a fall evening.  split a flatbread and bottle of wine to kick off the night.

| food | you know what they say about oysters and romance. at 801 fish, you and your date can consume the bivalves to your hearts’ content for just $1 during happy hour every sunday – friday.

| staycation|  getaway for a night or two at aloft leawood-overland park.  book the “romance getaway” or “sip and stay” package.

sweet |  follow dinner with a scoop of gelato from paciugo gelato & cafe, and then enjoy it in the lounge chairs in barkley square.

| paints | grab a paintbrush and bring your own bottle of wine for an evening at pinot’s palette! create your own masterpiece with the help of their instructors.

shop | for a free experience that feels like an exotic destination, take in the colorful fish with a tour at picasso exotic aquatics.

| pamper | try a couples’ facial or a pedicure for a relaxing date experience at michael shae salon & day spa.  it’s an ideal daytime outing with your love.

 | sweat | if exercise is more your thing, try a class for men and women at orange theory fitness, which offers high-intense cardio intervals that will boost your heart rate.

i sure do love getting to spend time with my sweetheart, and love that park place is so close to us. i always love everything we do there!

what's your favorite spot at park place?

Since I am single--no date nights for me! Although I probably would consider a leisurely stroll in Central Park or down Park or 5th Avenue as a good date night--A great date night? Lobster dinner and the theater!

Okay I'm jealous! We have nothing like this around here. That looks like a fabulous datenight.

This looks like it would be such a wonderful play to spend a night. I've never even heard of a paint bar, but it sounds like a blast! :)
