gingham girl

shirt: J.Crew | skirt: vintage similar here | shoes: J.Crew | earrings: Forever21 (old) | ring: vintage Tiffany's | watch: Michael Kors | bracelets: J.Crew, Route 66 but similar here

With about a foot or more of snow on the ground I am bundled up dreaming of spring. So I bring you a look to wear this is meant for much warmer days. I love a classic gingham shirt, it gives a classic look to almost everything. This gorgeous fuchsia color of this skirt caught my attention, when I was out vintage shopping. I was over the moon when I loved the fit.

The emerald ring I'm wearing on my right hand was a gift from my father to my mama when I was born. My mama gave it to me for my 21st birthday, and is always my go to when I want to feel fancy.

Do you have a family heirloom piece that you love?

a downtown stroll

peplum sweater: old from LOFT but similar here and here maxi skirt: old BCBG MaxAzria but similar here shoes: here belt: factory Banana Republic but similar here sunglasses: old J.Crew but similar here bracelets: vintage J.Crew but similar here and here watch: Michael Kors

I found this great little peplum sweater at LOFT on black Friday and I couldn't resist! The black maxi skirt I've had for a few years and it's easy to throw on with cute peplum tops and even fitted tops with a blazer. I love adding leopard to add sass to any outfit. The flats were a great wedding present, yes wedding present, from one of my bridesmaids. It was an absolute surprise, and I wear them all the time.

"I think every woman should have leopard, but not every woman will wear leopard. You have to have courage to wear leopard." - Rachel Zoe

I could agree more. Be courageous.

fall trends now

BCBG Max Azria

Holmes and Yang

classics

I loved what I saw at NYFW, so I had to put together some looks that we could wear now. I loved the black, white and cobalt looks from BCBG Max Azria, the classic and feminine silhouettes from Holmes and Yang, and the glitzy embellishments and pattern mixing at J.Crew. I found some wonderful pieces that you can wear now, and into the actual fall season.

What are you excited to wear?
