kcfw: saturday night outfit

kcfw: outfit

getting my outfit ready for the saturday night's shows was a fun and crazy, much like the saturday afternoon process. i like to pick my outfits the day of, based on one piece. i created this look around my leather dress. i just wanted to wear it a little bit differently. so, i layered my j.crew black and white gingham button down over it, and tied a knot at the waist to cinch it in. i added the j.crew statement necklace to add some sparkle. plus the sjp pumps and jcrew tan bag, and i was set. i wanted the look to feel elevated but not too fancy. and that's exactly how i felt in the outfit.

you can do this too! no really, i promise. all you need to do is grab a fit and flare (always flattering) dress and pick your favorite button down (classic white or chambray work great) and throw it on , knot the waist and you are set. you can always grab some sparkle to dress it up too. aren't you ready to wear this outfit on a patio this spring? i know i am.

valentine's date outfits

i've created three looks for valentine's day.

no matter if you've got a special someone, or if you're single and ready to mingle, these looks are perfect for your special night out.

dressy look

valentine's day date look
i wanted to create a classic look for the day of love. this red dress is super flattering for any girl. i thought the floral pumps were so sweet and soft to pair with this dress. to balance out the look the statement necklace and stripe clutch do the trick. and how sweet is the nail polish?

cute look

i created this look around this blush top. i love the subtle peplum hem and felt like it needed a skirt with volume to do it justice. the accessories needed to stay delicate to complete the look. that's why i paired the three dainty necklaces together with the glitter earrings and heart ring. the soft blush color is perfect for valentine's day.

this look is great for a dressy yet casual date night for valentine's day. the slits of the tunic are sassy but the leggings keep you covered. and who doesn't love a leopard pump!?

and for all my kc lovers here's a fantastic list of romatic spots for valentine's day.

new year's eve

I've put together three looks for New Year's - with two options, a casual option and a dressy option! Check it out!!

New Year's Eve
dress: Madewell | pumps: J.Crew | earrings: Boticca | booties: J.Crew | necklace: Sole Society (old) but similar here

I love this leather dress! It is so great for New Year's! I paired it with a black suede heel and teal earrings for the dressy look. I thought and easy way to dress it down a pair of black suede booties and gold tassel necklace would be perfect.

New Year's Eve
pants: top shop | peplum shirt: Prabal Gurung | earrings: J.Crew | heels: J.Crew | chambray: J.Crew | heels: Jimmy Choo | clutch: J.Crew

I'm kind of obsessed with the sequin pant trend. I mean, who doesn't love a good sequin. I created a dressy look by pairing the sequin pants with a gorgeous peplum top, statement earrings and pumps. I created a more casual look - but still a little dressy with a sequin chambray shirt, classic black pumps and gray clutch.

New Year's Eve

sequin skirt: Dani Hand| black vneck: J.Crew | booties: J.Crew | gray peplum: Madewell  | necklace: Lucky | shoes: J.Crew (old) but similar here

And last but certainly not least - the sequin maxi skirt!! I feel like I need one of these - just not sure why, yet. But I mean, what's not to love! It's long and sequins - like a mermaid! For the casual look I put a black cotton neck with a black bootie and a aztec printed clutch! For a dressier look a chose a gray cotton peplum shirt with a turquoise statement necklace and a metallic pair of flats.

We are excited to go to dinner and have a few friends over for New Year's!

What are you wearing??

fall trends now

BCBG Max Azria

Holmes and Yang

classics

I loved what I saw at NYFW, so I had to put together some looks that we could wear now. I loved the black, white and cobalt looks from BCBG Max Azria, the classic and feminine silhouettes from Holmes and Yang, and the glitzy embellishments and pattern mixing at J.Crew. I found some wonderful pieces that you can wear now, and into the actual fall season.

What are you excited to wear?
