kcfw: saturday night outfit

getting my outfit ready for the saturday night's shows was a fun and crazy, much like the saturday afternoon process. i like to pick my outfits the day of, based on one piece. i created this look around my leather dress. i just wanted to wear it a little bit differently. so, i layered my j.crew black and white gingham button down over it, and tied a knot at the waist to cinch it in. i added the j.crew statement necklace to add some sparkle. plus the sjp pumps and jcrew tan bag, and i was set. i wanted the look to feel elevated but not too fancy. and that's exactly how i felt in the outfit. 

you can do this too! no really, i promise. all you need to do is grab a fit and flare (always flattering) dress and pick your favorite button down (classic white or chambray work great) and throw it on , knot the waist and you are set. you can always grab some sparkle to dress it up too. aren't you ready to wear this outfit on a patio this spring? i know i am.

sjp in dallas

so when sjp x nordstrom (and manolo) announced their partnership, i died. i would get to buy a pair of shoes that carrie bradshaw, i mean sarah jessica (as she calls herself) designed. when, where, how, what do i need to do, i was on it. i read probably every article on the launch, put together a collection of everything here, remember!? then asked my sjp obsessed friend jamie to see if she wanted to go to a meet and greet in dallas. she was game and off we went, to meet our idol.

this is jamie, and this is us waiting in line to get inside to meet sjp. so yes we flew from kc to dallas. we also might have stood in line for three hours...whatever. it was totally worth it.

we arrived at nordstrom with the best welcome! the shoe and hand bag manager catherine. she was absolutely fantastic! she told us all about the hand bags (that had literally just arrived in store that day, crazy). she showed off her new pair of "diana's". and then took us over to the heavenly shoe department to find jamie her perfect pair. 

jamie found these amazingly adorable "leslie" espadrille! they were inspired by sjp's makeup artist. how cool?

i brought in my "fawns" that i received on wedesday before our trip. but i had to try on the "bobbie" my other favorite. they are pretty wonderful too. i may just have to get them!

the day of, i heard that courtney kerr the fabulous dallas blogger / bravo favorite was going to be interviewing sjp (would you die), i had my fingers crossed i would get to meet her, and i did! she was super sweet and looked fabulous! of course!

the crowds were crazy and made the day very fun and exciting! i even had a girl ask me to take a picture of sjp for her. so cute!

jamie went first, and boy am i glad she did! she was totally cool and so excited to meet her idol! oh and the nordstrom team took/ shlept our bags while we were with sjp, and they snapped all the candids for us. amazing team for sure.

meeting sjp was an absolute life highlight for sure. she is just so welcoming and darling. she introduced herself as "sarah jessica" (as if i didn't know), but was so charming and was thrilled that we flew from kansas city to meet her! she told me the "fawns" were the rock star shoe - fantastic! 

i just wanted to cherish this moment for ever! it was amazing. 

sjp signed the shoes, the box and the tag! now to wear the shoes, or not wear the shoes, that is the question.

now you might be wondering, what does one wear to meet sjp? it was hard to decide for sure. but i landed on a great rose printed dress from gap! paired it with black tights, and gray pumps. then a great statement necklace from j.crew.

as soon as i heard sjp was pairing up with manolo, i died. a real life sex and the city carrie shoe - on my foot, duh. i'm in, fo sho. so i've been stalking the internet to see every pair i can find. so, below is every pair and purse i could find. check out the gorgeous pieces sjp and manolo have created. 

how precious is the ribbon detail on the back of these pumps. which by the way were inspired from the ribbon her mother used to tie in her hair. aweeeee

so, out of all the gorgeous shoes ms. parker designed, i would have to say, this pair kind of does it for me. the color - amazing, the silhouette classic, and suede so luscious. on feb. 28 at midnight, these are what i plan on snagging.

see - they are just so pretty.

this is one of my favorite shots from the covetour shoot. it shows all the shoes perfectly! how magical are all these colors? so the prices of these beauties are ranging from just under $200 - $500 bucks. not sure what styles are priced higher or lower. if anyone finds those detes, i would love to know. 

fabulous news! sjp is gets to fly around the u.s. and promote these beauties.
