I went to a local thrift store and tried on a ton of pairs of vintage jeans to get the right fit in the waist. I then took the dated babies home and grabbed my favorite pair of shorts and lined them up. Then I cut the legs off of the jeans. I pulled the rough ends to make the edges frayed and used scissors to freigh up the shorts even more.
