austin

one of my good friends is getting married this august and i just am so excited for her! our pledge sisters all got together and headed down to austin, tx for an amazing bachelorette weekend!

we started with dinner at second bar and kitchen and it was delicious! we then headed to 6th street to get the celebration started! we met so many fun people and really felt the love of austin!

the next morning we got up and ready to float the river, but first we hit up torchy's tacos for breakfast burrito's and they were ridiculously good. no seriously. then we headed to san marcus to float the river. it was a perfect day, the sun was shining and the water just cold enough to keep us cool, and the flow of the river was nice enough to pull us down the whole way. (yes, we got stuck in a few trees, and had to paddle a little bit).

we floated our way to the end and headed back to the hotel to get ready for our last night together. we headed to dinner and then out on the town. it was a nice night out together, and san marcus reminded us a little bit of stillwater, where we all went to school

sunday morning we woke up and had to head back to dallas, but we ate our whole way back! we first stopped at salt lick in austin for lunch. this new kc girl loved the texas styles bbq! i ordered the pulled pork sandwich (pictured above) and ate like a 4th of what is pictured above. it was huge! but oh, so good! thennnn we got back on the road and stopped at the little czech bakery for kolaches! i'd never had one, and ohhh myy gah it was so good! i ordered the regular cream cheese kolache and the sausage cheese kolache, both were so delicious! so glad we stopped there!

we then my friends dropped my off at love field and i headed back to kc.

i have to say, i loved my limited time i got to spend in austin! i can't wait to go back! let me know if you are ever headed down and i can give you all the great recommendations i've got for you!
